Jamie’s new website on standing out using social media:
shatterboxx
Hi all -
Thank you for stopping by my site and for supporting me. So many of you took the time to retweet out my message, Digg it, write about it, and your efforts do not go unnoticed by me. I have been humbled by this experience and truly astonished by the response I got. You all are amazing and I appreciate you being behind me on this adventure.
I am working currently as the Community Manager for techVenture, a recruiting and consulting company for startups. This is exactly what I want to be doing, so I’m excited to be on their team!
Also, this experience has inspired me to blog about social media in a way that can empower other people to utilize it. Please visit my new blog:

“keep it up Jamie, you’ve got the energy, creativity and guts to do this” — To do what exactly, “tomawesome”? To make a big fuss about how she should get a job she isn’t qualified for, rather than working hard and training for it?

Your action shows unmatchable creativity and gets attention galore, but ultimately, your job-relevant skills and passion for that specific job are what will get your dream job. Of course, your narrative reveals them too, at least the passion part. But all this very innovative use of social media like this does is get attention, not job. Just so credit is given to what or whom it is due–YOU!. You are remarkable.

Jamie,
I did Tweet this and I’m just learning twitter. If they don’t hire you you can find plenty of work helping baby boomers like me who are clueless about Twitter and a few other techie things!
I will post about you tomorrow on my blog the bold life dot com.
